Thumping Technique

Here as promised is the thumping technique what you will need is
Stamp
Ink Pad
Marker
Cardstock

Ink stamp with an ink pad I've used Marina Mist
Use the brush side of the marker and tap with the side of the marker to protect the tip of the marker from any damage.
Take a darker coloured marker and start tapping or "thumping" on the image to add darker spots. I've used Nights of Navy. Continue to "thump" the marker on the image until you added enough ink to create a marbled look. Also turn your stamp in different direction so as not to end up with lines in your work.
Next huff (breathe heavily) on the stamp to re-moisten the inked image. Now stamp on the cardstock. There are several way of applying the added colour see below.

This one I've only hi-lighted sections of the wings.
Here I've only done the outside of the wings.
This one I have done an all over effect.
This one has had just the centre of the butterfly done.

Try this technique on trees delicate flowers you will be amazed of the different effects you can get and also no two images will be the same.

Happy Easter to you all

Sharon.

Totally Off Topic

This is a card I've done for my friend Tracy for her moving in card  none of it is Stampin Up I know, but I thought you would like to see the new paper flower I've found that we can make, so who's up for another paper flower master class at Debden then.

And we have a winner

Congrats goes to Mandy she finally found the last technique I was looking for.
Will give Mandy her  prize  when I see her next, I'm sure she is looking forward to that.

The three techniques I was looking for were:-

Rock & Rolling (on the flowers)
Reverse Letter pressing (but will give it to Mandy for Ink embossing cuttlebug plate)(the background)
Thumping (on the leaves)

As Thumping seem like something not many people know about I will do this technique on Thursday on my blog so look out for that. Thumping is something I had not done for about 9 years now but used it a lot on a Anna Griffin hydrangea stamp.

Wedding acceptance card

Just thought I show you a card I've done today. It was inspired by Teri Pocock (http://teriscraftspot.blogspot.com/2010/04/bird-punch-wedding-card.html) but with my own twist.
The decorative strip which is punch is stamped with the rectangle stamp in Clearly for you.
